LICENCING

We offer the following types of licences:
Single user licence. and.Site licence These licences give no right to copy material from the CD, nor adapt the contents of the CD

Single User Licence:
A single user licence is a licence to install and use the software on just one computer.

Site Licence:
The purchase of one CD-ROM allows the purchaser to install and use the software on one computer only. The purchase of
a) two copies of a CD-ROM by an educational institution with less than 500 students
b) five copies of a CD-ROM by an educational institution with more than 500 students constitutes a site licence.
The software may be installed on a network or on any number of desktop computers that are owned by the purchasing institution and are situated within one campus of the institution. Where a network goes beyond one campus a further licence is required (see Aesharenet link below).
For laptops owned by or leased out to staff or students and used off campus, one extra copy must be purchased for every 20 laptops on which it is installed for use offsite. Thus for installation on 35 laptops, the institution would need to purchase either
a) four copies - two for the site licence, one for the first 20 laptops and another for the remainder, or
b) seven copies - five for the site license, one for the first 20 laptops and another for the remainder

LIBRARIES
CD-ROM's purchased by public libraries can be lent to people with borrowing rights for use outside the library. Please also see Site License requirements above. Education and training institution campus libraries can lend the CD-ROM to students and staff of that campus for use outside the library.
